What is PKP?

Today there are various levels of training, but nowadays, practitioners have to demonstrate that they are competent in the things they have learned, and can show that they have grown as practitioners during their training. You can trust that all PKP practitioners listed on this site are safe, qualified and experienced, and that they will do their best for you. All of them get regular balances themselves and they are lifelong learners; they are all learning, growing and embracing life in line with the ICPKP ethos. All of them abide by the ICPKP Code of Ethics, all of them are insured to practice and they are registered with a professional body independent of this website and independent of ICPKP.

The practitioner will take a history on your first appointment and make notes. Then you will talk about the things you want to achieve with your visits.

Some clients come with physical problems from injuries or surgeries, some come with chronic problems that they haven’t been able to get solved elsewhere. Whatever your problem, you can trust that your ICPKP practitioner has been trained in many, sometimes hundreds of techniques, and that they will always defer to your doctor for the treatment of a medical condition. Treating a health condition is not what an ICPKP practitioner is trained to do, although we realise that the medical condition may be what concerns you most. At ICPKP we have a different philosophy altogether: the medical condition will point the way on the journey to creating the future you want, where the dis-ease or problem cannot be sustained. This takes you on a different path altogether, away from illness, towards health and beyond that to wellness. It is truly a transformative and evolutionary path.

Some people visit a practitioner once, some decide it is part of how they live their life and they choose to go to their practitioner many times. Always, you are in charge of how much you want Professional Kinesiology Practice to be part of your life.  Realistically, it makes sense to plan on 3 visits or so when you are making big changes in your life. Your practitioner will support you as you start to achieve those things that have been so elusive.

Kinesiology involves the practitioner pushing on the client’s arms or legs to see whether the muscles can hold their position or not. You can see this in some of our videos which can be accessed in one of the boxes below. Muscle testing guides how the session will go, and every visit will be different, just as every person is different. Both you and the practitioner bring a lifetime of experience and history to the session, and all of that is important in how you work together.
